MSA Faculty of Management Sciences Hosts Internal CFA Investment Analysis Competition
The Faculty of Management Sciences at October University for Modern Sciences and Arts (MSA) held its internal CFA competition; the final stage of the Investment Analysis Competition. Our students from both the Accounting and the Finance and Investment Management departments were selected to represent MSA University in the official competition.
Participating teams are challenged to apply their financial and analytical skills in evaluating investment opportunities by presenting valuation recommendations on a selected company, supported by thorough financial and market analysis to justify their investment thesis.
The 5 winners will represent the MSA University in the prestigious CFA Research Challenge 2025-2026. The winners are Ziad Amr, Ziad Hatem, Yehia basel, Yehia Reda, and Farida Mohamed.
The judging committee included Professor Mohamed Eldeeb, Head of the Accounting Department and Vice Dean of Environmental Affairs and Community Service; Associate Professor Dr. Zakia Abdelmoniem, Head of the Finance and Investment Management Department; Dr. Hesham Hassan, Managing Director of Finance Coach; Dr. Osama Samy, Lecturer at the Faculty of Business at Ain Shams University; and Mr. Ahmed Adel, Head of Equities and Portfolio Management at Banque Misr.
The competition is organized by MSA University in collaboration with Finance Coach under the framework of the cooperation protocol between the two entities. Moreover, the preparatory sessions were provided by Finance Coach and taught by Mr. Ahmed Adel. Last but not least, the faculty supervisors were Associate Professor Dr. Dalida Adel, Coordinator of the Accounting Department, and Dr. Noha Allam, Assistant Professor at the Finance and Investment Management Department, in cooperation with Mr. Ziad Amr, Teaching Assistant at the Finance and Investment Management Department, and Ms. Amal Hamouda, Teaching Assistant at the Accounting Department.
