The Faculty of Management Sciences at October University For Modern Sciences And Arts (MSA) invites you to attend the Advertising Projects Competition for the Advertising and Media Campaign Module, Marketing and International Business program, Under the expert Supervision of Dr. Ranya Ibrahim.
The Advertising Projects Competition is an event planned to provide marketing major students with an opportunity to present their proposed advertising and media campaigns designed to promote Brands, Places, and Social Marketing Ideas supporting Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
The event will host a panel of marketing practitioners and academics to evaluate the students’ campaigns. It will take the form of a competition among student groups, where panel members will evaluate the campaigns and select the top 5 campaigns. The winners will be awarded certificates of achievement.
This event provides an excellent opportunity for students to gain practical insights in the advertising field through recommendations and comments from the panel. Additionally, it opens doors to future career opportunities in Egyptian advertising agencies.

- Miss Nuran Lashin – Digital Unit Head at Leap Communication
About the guest speaker:
Dr. Mervat Abou Oaf: is a pracademic; academic and professional media expert and educator with 29 years of solid practice and teaching experience. She is a professor of practice and prior chair of the Journalism and Mass Communication (JRMC) Department at the School of Global Affairs and Public Policy (GAPP) at The American University in Cairo (AUC). Abou Oaf received her PhD from the University Autonoma of Barcelona, Spain, with excellent qualifications. Her teaching domain covers a wide range of practical and theoretical media disciplines. She is a trainer, content designer, and accreditation associate at the National Training Academy of the Presidential Leadership Programs.
Ms. Nuran lashin: A Mass Communication graduate, Class of 2009, majoring in Advertising and Public Relations.
“In my 10+ years experience, I kicked off my career in the telecommunications sector to gain broader industry exposure before pursuing my true passion in advertising. I spent over five years working at leading agencies, Saatchi & Saatchi Worldwide and Leo Burnett, handling major brands such as Nissan, Mondelez, El Abd Patisserie, Yamaha, Hyundai, Novartis, GSK, among others, Later, I shifted my focus to digital advertising, taking on the role of Account Director at a digital agency specializing in real estate accounts. This was followed by a move to El Abd Patisserie as a Marketing Communications Manager, Today, I am excited to take on my role as Digital Unit Head at Leap Communications, where I look forward to thriving and making meaningful contributions to the agency’s success”.
