The Faculty of Languages at October University for Modern Sciences and Arts (MSA) is pleased to host a special literary session titled: “My Days with Cairokee”, featuring the distinguished Egyptian-British author and translator Walaa Kamal.
In this session, Walaa Kamal will shed light on his rich literary and cultural journey shaped between Egypt and the United Kingdom. As a writer belonging to a generation that bridges two distinct cultures, Kamal brings a unique voice influenced by his academic background in translation from the American University in Cairo and his studies in cinematic arts at the Academy of Arts. His experience offers valuable insights into the interplay between language, culture, and storytelling across borders.
