The Pharmacology Department at the Faculty of Pharmacy at October University for Modern Sciences and Arts (MSA), in collaboration with the MWHO, will be hosting a thought-provoking symposium under the title “From Awareness to Action: Supporting Neurodiverse Students in Their Mental Health Journey.”
The event will bring together professional speakers in the field of psychiatry from Iwan Psychiatry Hospital to explore the mental health needs of neurodiverse students, including those with conditions such as ADHD, autism spectrum disorder, and anxiety disorders. Discussions will focus on practical strategies for fostering inclusive academic environments and providing effective psychological support.
This symposium will feature:
– Dr. Ghada Abdel Razek , Professor of psychiatry and child psychiatry , Faculty of medicine Ain Shams university and Technical Director of Iwan psychiatric hospital and addiction treatment.
– Dr. Ahmed Abdelwahab, Doctorate in Psychiatry and Director of the Psychological Rehabilitation Unit Iwan psychiatric hospital
– Dr. Arwa Tohamy, Consultant Psychiatrist and Lecturer at Ain Shams University
The aim is to raise awareness and encourage steps toward mental health advocacy in education.
