Etiquette for Interacting with People with Disabilities

The Faculty of Pharmacy at October University for Modern Sciences and Arts (MSA) is inviting you to an event entitled “Etiquette for Interacting with People with Disabilities” which will be given by Dr. Yasmine Matar, an Expert at the National Council for Persons with Disabilities

The purpose of this event is to raise awareness and educate pharmacy students on appropriate, respectful, and inclusive ways to interact with individuals with disabilities. This session aims to enhance students’ understanding of disability etiquette, reduce communication barriers, and promote empathy and professionalism in healthcare settings.

By participating in this event, students will gain insights into the social, emotional, and practical aspects of interacting with people with various disabilities—whether physical, sensory, cognitive, or invisible. The ultimate goal is to prepare students to create a more accessible and inclusive healthcare environment that respects the dignity and independence of every individual.
