MSA Biotechnology Students Shine at the World Psychiatric Association Conference
Malak Mahmoud, Mai Shehata, and Radwa Kamal — the team from the Faculty of Biotechnology at October University for Modern Sciences and Arts (MSA) — participated in the World Psychiatric Association (WPA) Conference held in Alexandria!
The team presented a scientific poster as part of the conference “Embracing the Complexity of Mental Health: Neuroscientific Foundations and Novel Interventions,” organized by the World Psychiatric Association. Their participation reflects the faculty’s support for integrating scientific research with societal and medical applications. Their project showcased how biotechnological tools can enhance our understanding of human neurological and mental health.
This outstanding research was conducted in the Prototype Research Lab at the Faculty of Biotechnology, under the supervision of:
- Dr. Ahmed Gomaa (Faculty lecturer and Principal Investigator of the lab)
- Prof. Dr. Gehan Safwat (Vice Dean of the Faculty)
- Prof. Dr. Ayman Diab (Dean of the Faculty)
We congratulate our brilliant students and the faculty team on this honorable international participation, which reaffirms the Faculty of Biotechnology’s leadership in interdisciplinary research and its commitment to empowering students to have a global presence!
