Basics of Lettering Workshop by Waleed Abodouh

The Faculty of Arts and Design at October University for Modern Sciences and Arts (MSA) conducted a workshop entitled “The Basics of Lettering”, led by Waleed Abodouh, offered participants an inspiring introduction to the world of lettering. Aimed at beginners and enthusiasts alike, the workshop focused on distinguishing between typography, calligraphy, and lettering—three essential pillars in the design and lettering fields.

Throughout the session, attendees were guided through the foundational principles of lettering, with a special emphasis on Arabic calligraphy. Waleed shared practical techniques and creative approaches, helping participants take their first steps as lettering artists.
