All About Exhibitions Lecture

In alignment with the Faculty of Arts & Design at October University for Modern Sciences and Arts (MSA) and its vision to foster strategic partnerships between academia and industry, the faculty continues to strengthen professional dialogue that enhances student expertise and prepares them for real-world practice.

The Interior Design Department pleasurably hosted Eng. Mohamed Abdel Karim, founder of Solution Design and a leading expert in the exhibition industry since 1992. The special lecture, titled “All About Exhibitions,” was delivered as part of the Commercial Facility Design course.

The session addressed the fundamental pillars of exhibition design and contemporary industry practices, highlighting:

  • Design Standards: Exploring how to achieve an effective balance between aesthetics and functionality in booth design.
  • Project Lifecycle: Presenting a structured overview of the complete design process—from initial concept development to final execution and delivery.
  • Application & Practice: Showcasing real case studies and offering essential guidelines to help students craft project identities that meet both technical criteria and market needs.

The event concluded with a note of appreciation to Eng. Mohamed Abdel Karim for his invaluable insights, which significantly enriched the students’ academic and practical understanding of the exhibition design field.
