Advanced 3D Anatomy Training with Sectra Systems
The Faculty of Physical Therapy at October University for Modern Sciences and Arts (MSA) held a focused training workshop on the Sectra Anatomy Table and Sectra Portable System under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Olfat Diab, Dean of the Faculty.
The workshop introduced participants to advanced 3D anatomical visualization and demonstrated the system’s key applications across multiple disciplines, including basic medical sciences, radiological sciences, and clinical education. Our attendees engaged in interactive virtual dissection, correlated CT and MRI imaging with 3D models, and explored cross-sectional and functional anatomy.
In the field of physical therapy, the Sectra system offered exceptional value in supporting the study of kinesiology, biomechanics, musculoskeletal and cardiovascular systems. It enabled students to analyze human movement with high precision, understand mechanical forces acting on the body, and visualize cardiovascular and musculoskeletal structures and functions in ways that directly enhance clinical decision-making and therapeutic practice.
The system also facilitated structured student assessment through customizable quizzes and labeling activities, while the portable unit allowed flexible teaching and practical demonstrations.
This represents a highly important and truly unique advantage offered by the Faculty of Physical Therapy at MSA University, elevating both academic and clinical training.
