MSA Biotechnology Students Gain Hands-On Clinical Nutrition Training Experience

Biotechnology students at October University for Modern Sciences and Arts (MSA) recently participated in an intensive Clinical Nutrition training program, gaining hands-on experience in advanced clinical and laboratory practices. This program effectively bridged academic learning with real-world healthcare applications, enhancing students’ practical competencies and overall professional readiness.

The training was delivered by Dr. Hany Aboul Naga, a distinguished Egyptian clinical nutritionist, author, and media figure. As the Founder of the Fitness & Dance Academy (FDA) and CEO of H-Plan, his expertise in obesity management, nutrition science, and health education provided students with a highly practical and applied learning experience.

Key Learning Outcomes

  • Calculation of macronutrients and micronutrients, connecting clinical case studies to core academic concepts
  • Fundamentals of clinical and therapeutic (medicinal) nutrition
  • Understanding of clinical nutrition screening tests and how diagnostic results inform patient care
  • Application of nutrition science in oncology, kidney diseases, and various metabolic disorders
  • Exposure to real clinical workflows and patient-centered decision-making processes

This initiative is one of the many ways the MSA University – Faculty of Biotechnology ensures its students are fully prepared for real career paths, equipping them with practical exposure, confidence, and industry-relevant skills.

Biotechnology graduates at MSA are not confined to textbooks, they are trained for real jobs, real laboratories, and real clinical environments.

Biotechnology at MSA stands for opportunity, preparation, and a strong connection to the real world.
