Arts Exhibition and Guest Lecture for Pioneer Students.

October University for Modern Sciences and Arts (MSA) Hosts Exhibition and Guest Lecture for Pioneer Students in the Perspective and Rendering Techniques Course

Under the patronage of Professor Dr. Tarek Saleh, Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Design, the Faculty of Arts and Design at October University for Modern Sciences and Arts (MSA) organized a distinguished exhibition and guest lecture highlighting the outstanding creative achievements of pioneer students enrolled in the Perspective and Rendering Techniques course (INTR231). The event brought together faculty members, students, and alumni in an academic celebration that underscored the importance of manual rendering as a fundamental pillar of design practice.

The exhibition was curated under the supervision of the course instructors: Arch. Moktar Selim, Dr. Hanan El-Ashmawy, and Dr. Sarah Noaman, who emphasized that manual techniques—sketching, shading, proportion testing, and material exploration—represent the essential foundation upon which interior and product design is built.

The program featured a guest lecture and entrepreneurial showcase presented by Designer Mayar Mansour, alumna of the Interior Design Department and founder of the emerging brand Dakn invents. Mansour shared her professional journey, affirming that manual rendering is not merely a transitional phase but the cornerstone of design. She explained how hand techniques sharpen the designer’s eye, enhance decision-making, and foster an authentic connection between designer and object. She also presented the philosophy of her brand Dakn invents, which was born from real studio experience to address gaps in the Egyptian market by offering tools tailored to the authentic ways artists work, move, and create. Each product begins with a personal need and evolves through thoughtful design and collaboration, embodying the principle that strong products are created by designers who think with their hands before they design with tools.

The exhibition also showcased the works of outstanding students, presenting creative projects in perspective and rendering techniques that reflected mastery of manual skills and their application in contemporary design contexts. These projects were distinguished by innovation, precision, and a deep understanding of visual communication, earning recognition from faculty members and peers alike.

The event was attended by Professor Dr. Amany Mashhour, Head of the Interior Design Department, along with faculty members and students, which added an academic and professional character to the occasion. The exhibition reaffirmed MSA University’s commitment to bridging academic education with practical application by honoring student creativity, supporting alumni entrepreneurship, and highlighting the vital role of manual rendering techniques in preparing a generation of designers who are both innovative and firmly grounded in craft.
