
World Breastfeeding Week 2025: Promoting Health and Awareness at MSA University
In alignment with the Commitment of October University for Modern Sciences and Arts (MSA) in promoting health awareness and community wellbeing, MWHO proudly hosted an enlightening awareness session titled “World Breastfeeding Week 2025” highlighting the importance of breastfeeding and its crucial role in supporting the health of both mother and child.
The session featured a distinguished panel of experts who shared their knowledge and professional experience with our students and staff:
Prof. Dr. Gehan Fouad– Professor of Pediatrics and Clinical Nutrition, Former Dean of the National Institute of Nutrition, and President of the Egyptian Foundation for Child Health and Nutrition.
Dr. Amal El-Tawil – Pediatric Consultant and International Lactation Consultant, Representative of the American Academy of Breastfeeding Medicine, and President of the Egyptian Association of Lactation Consultants.
Dr. Zeinab Abdel-Latif – Pediatric Consultant and International Lactation Consultant.
Dr. Dina Shoukry – Pediatric Consultant and International Lactation Consultant.
Dr. Omnia Mahmoud– Pediatric Consultant and International Lactation Consultant.
Dr. Asmaa Zakaria – Pediatric Consultant and International Lactation Consultant.
The event emphasized the health, emotional, and developmental benefits of breastfeeding, while encouraging greater community support for mothers in this vital practice.
