Valuation Reports Competition
The Finance and Investment Management Programme in the Faculty of Management Sciences at October University for Modern Sciences and Arts (MSA) has successfully concluded its Valuation Reports Competition.
The event showcased the culmination of rigorous analysis and financial valuation by third-year students.
Five students presented comprehensive valuation reports covering a wide spectrum of sectors. Their work was evaluated against a detailed rubric assessing key areas such as company analysis, the application of various valuation models, and the strength of their final recommendations.
The competition was held under the direct supervision of Dr. Bahaa Allam, Assistant Professor of Finance & Investment Management, and Dr. Asmaa Hamdy, the Programme Coordinator. An esteemed panel of experts evaluated the submissions, including:
- Dr. Zakia Abdelmoneim, Acting Head of the Finance and Investment Management Programme;
- Dr. Noha Allam, Assistant Professor of Finance & Investment Management;
- Mrs. Marian Nagy, Senior Financial Analyst at ZALDI Capital.
This competition served as a vital platform, bridging the gap between theoretical knowledge and professional practice. The high engagement during the Q&A session challenged students on their valuation assumptions and tested their in-depth understanding of their cases. The constructive feedback from the expert panel provided invaluable guidance, preparing students for future careers in finance, investment, and strategic consulting.
