
The Faculty of Computer Science Students Excel at SemEval-2025
October University for Modern Sciences and Arts (MSA) and the Faculty of Computer Science would like to honor students Baraa Hikal and Ahmed Nasreldin who have achieved remarkable success at SemEval-2025, an international competition held alongside ACL 2025 in Vienna.
Competing against PhD and Master’s students from top institutions worldwide, they secured top rankings in Task 3: Hallucination Detection in LLMs Generated Text under the guidance of Dr. Ali Hamdi.
🏆 1st Place: Arabic (1/32), Basque (1/26)
🥈 2nd Place: German (2/31), Swedish (2/30), Finnish (2/30)
🥉 3rd Place: Czech (3/26), Farsi (3/26), French (3/33)
Their research will be published in the SemEval-2025 Proceedings (ACL Anthology), contributing to the global NLP community.
