The Faculty of Mass Communication Organized “Introduction to Podcast” Workshop for Students

The Faculty of Mass Communication at October University for Modern Sciences and Arts (MSA) organized a specialized training workshop titled “Introduction to Podcast” for students enrolled in the MCOM228 course. The workshop was held under the supervision of Dr. Samar Galal, Head of the Journalism Department, and hosted Haidi Tarek, radio presenter and audio content creator.

The workshop aimed to introduce students to the fundamentals of podcasting, including how to select and develop an idea and transform it into complete, publishable audio content. Students were guided through the essential stages of podcast production, covering preparation techniques, scriptwriting, voice delivery, and recording skills.

The session witnessed full attendance from enrolled students, who actively participated in the practical segment of the workshop. During this hands-on component, students recorded short podcast episodes based on their own ideas, allowing them to experience the podcast production process step by step.

This practical exposure provided students with valuable insights into audio content creation and contributed to the development of their skills in producing digital media, reinforcing the Faculty’s commitment to equipping students with contemporary media tools and practical experience aligned with current industry trends.
