The AI in Architecture: Real Impact Beyond the Hype
The Architecture Department at October University for Modern Sciences and Arts (MSA) hosted Dr. Mohamed Abdel Shakour for a truly inspiring lecture titled “AI in Architecture: Real Impact Beyond the Hype” for our MSA Architecture Design 7 students.
Dr. Mohamed is an architect, Assistant Professor at Galala University, and the founder of mnml.ai, one of the fastest-growing AI platforms dedicated to helping architects and designers work smarter, faster, and with more clarity. His work beautifully bridges academic depth with real-world innovation, and today he shared that journey with us.
The lecture walked the attendees through his path of building AI as a design assistant, not a replacement, but a tool that opens new possibilities in the design process. He highlighted the very real opportunities AI brings to both practice and academia, moving beyond buzzwords and showing how these tools can genuinely support our workflows, ideas, and our future as designers.
His “secret recipe”: Make it personalized. Make it localized.
Because AI becomes truly powerful only when it understands you, your context, and your design identity.
A big thank you to Dr. Mohamed for such an engaging, honest, and forward-looking session. Our students left with new perspectives—and a lot of excitement for what’s coming next.
