MSA-STC Takes Engineering Students Beyond the Classroom with Two Impactful Field Trips
In its ongoing mission to bridge academic learning with real-world experience, the Faculty of Engineering at October University for Modern Sciences and Arts (MSA), through the MSA Students Training Committee (MSA-STC), organized two impactful field trips that offered students a closer look at the industries they are preparing to enter. These experiences emphasized the value of applied knowledge, innovation, and interdisciplinary learning across diverse sectors.
Electric Power Station Visit 🔌
Students from the Mechatronics and Industrial Engineering departments had the unique opportunity to visit an Electric Power Station, where they explored the core technologies driving energy generation, automation, and industrial control systems. With guidance from field experts, students engaged in interactive technical sessions and witnessed real-time operations—deepening their understanding of sustainable energy solutions and smart infrastructure.
Juhayna Juice & Dairy Factory Visit 🥤
Simultaneously, students from Architecture and General Engineering visited the Juhayna Juice and Dairy Factories—state-of-the-art facilities showcasing the application of automation, quality control, and supply chain efficiency in the food and beverage sector. This experience highlighted the critical role engineers play in ensuring productivity, innovation, and safety within consumer industries.
These field trips reflect MSA University’s commitment to experiential learning, allowing students to witness the direct application of their studies in real industrial contexts—shaping well-rounded, industry-ready engineers.
A special word of appreciation goes to the Electric Power Station and Juhayna teams for their generous hospitality, expert insights, and dedication to inspiring the next generation of engineering leaders.
