MSA University and the Faculty of Computer Science proudly congratulate Mariam Ossama Kotb, a graduate of the faculty for her achievement by publishing her scientific paper in IEEE Xplore, as part of the 2023 Intelligent Methods, Systems, and Applications (IMSA) conference.

Mariam’s paper, titled ‘Credit Scoring Using Machine Learning Algorithms and Blockchain Technology’, introduces a creative method for evaluating borrowers’ creditworthiness in the ever-evolving banking sector. Her approach harnesses the capabilities of various machine learning algorithms, including logistic regression, XGBoost, LightGBM, AdaBoost, and RGF, to carefully assess borrowers’ creditworthiness and predict their likelihood of repaying loans.
