CSE – DEPARTMENT ACTIVITIES

Computer Systems Engineering (CSE) department aims to Promote creative ideas and innovative projects among department staff members and students to enhance education, serve the community, solve actual life problems, and collaborate with industry. Bring creative ideas of students and staff to life. Fostering innovation and supporting its applied research which addresses the needs of our community growth.

Our vision is to excel in providing our local community and the Egyptian industry with innovative solutions. Provide highly skilled students to the industry, who can give a high-quality service. Successfully implement our department vision and establish its footprint in terms of creativity and innovation.

Sample of activities we have in our CSE department done through CSE innovation hub as follows:

  • Materialize CSE department vision and footprint in terms of creativity and innovation.
  • Boost CSE department’s graduation projects quality and deliverables.
  • Encourage CSE students to join the local/ international competitions to enhance their skills.
  • Encourage CSE students to apply for grants/funds for their graduation projects.
  • Support technical seminars and workshops for the department staff and students.
  • Align with industrial partners through training, workshops, and internships.
  • Support academic staff and students for publications via international journals and conferences.
  • Share the resources with the students and staff either online or through classroom training.
  • Invite guest speakers through Tech-talks from the industry partners and well-known key-note speakers from academia.
  • Facilitate workshops for students to support them in applying for opportunities like competitions, trainings, and make use of online resources.
  • Synchronize field trips to industrial organizations with the summer training committee.
  • Build technology tracks led by CSE Teaching Assistants to support industrial training in latest technology trends like cyber security, smart city, generative AI, block chain, augmented reality, virtual reality.

The main objectives of CSE department activities with the students are as follow:

  • Improve professional skill set and calibers for both undergraduate’s students and make them ready for market hiring.
  • Create plug and play pool of talents fit for business needs and customize with corporate footprint.
  • Improve collaboration and partnership with the industry.
  • Develop calibers with creative mindsets who are passion to innovate.
  • Make innovation part of everyone’s day2day activities.
  • Build MSA CoE (Centre of Excellence) that interfaces and manages interlock with the industry.
  • Enable our students to create strong networks, achieve critical experiences, and develop core skills that position them for career success.
  • Support graduates to gain a cross-functional understanding of how our business functions work.
  • Build strong partnership with industry and gain trust to promote this level in the future.
  • Setup academic Alliance or MOU (Memorandum of Understanding) to interface with the industry.
