Congratulations to Assistant Lecturer Moamen Zaher
Our staff continue to push the boundaries of innovation, one groundbreaking paper at a time!
MSA University and the Faculty of Computer Science are thrilled to congratulate Assistant Lecturer Moamen Zaher on the publication of their research paper titled: “Fusing CNNs and Attention Mechanisms to Improve Real-Time Indoor Human Activity Recognition for Classifying Home-Based Physical Rehabilitation Exercises”
This paper has been published in the prestigious Computers in Biology and Medicine (CiBM) journal. CIBM is a Q1-ranked journal with an impressive impact factor of 7.0, placing it among the top 10% in Computer Science and Interdisciplinary Applications.
The research, supervised by Prof. Ayman Ezzat, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Computer Science, integrates AI and Human Activity Recognition (HAR) to address the global shortage of physiotherapists. It proposes a novel framework for home-based rehabilitation, exploring efficient data representation, real-time applicability, and the development of models suitable for resource-constrained devices.
We would also like to acknowledge and thank Dr. Olfat from the Faculty of Languages for her invaluable contribution in proofreading and enhancing the paper’s quality.
