MSA University Congratulates Dr. Gehad Mohey Rezk Youssef on Earning Her Ph.D. in Computer Systems Engineering

October University for Modern Sciences and Arts (MSA University) and the Faculty of Engineering proudly extend their sincere congratulations to Dr. Gehad Mohey Rezk Youssef on the successful attainment of her Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Computer Systems Engineering.

Dr. Gehad earned her Ph.D. degree from the Faculty of Engineering at Shoubra, Benha University, on 18 January 2026, for her distinguished doctoral dissertation entitled “LiDAR Data Compression Using Different Techniques.”

The thesis introduces advanced lossless compression frameworks for LiDAR data in LAS format, integrating predictive compression methods with deep learning–based models to achieve high compression efficiency while fully preserving data integrity. This research represents a valuable scientific contribution to the fields of LiDAR data processing, data compression, and intelligent geospatial systems.
