Biotechnology Students Gain Hands-On Industrial Experience at Al-Yosr Grain Milling Group

As part of its commitment to bridging academic knowledge with real-world industrial applications, the Faculty of Biotechnology at October University for Modern Sciences and Arts (MSA) organized an enriching educational field trip to Al-Yosr Grain Milling Group.

The students and accompanying faculty members were warmly welcomed by Hon. MP Taysir Mattar, Chairman of Al-Yosr Group for Grain Supply and Milling, who personally received them with great hospitality and floral arrangements. In a remarkable gesture, the factory temporarily halted production and shut down all machinery to allow students to closely inspect the equipment and actively engage in hands-on learning.

Throughout the visit, industry experts provided detailed explanations of each stage of the milling process, offering students an in-depth understanding of industrial operations. This invaluable opportunity allowed students to witness firsthand the intersection of biotechnology and industrial manufacturing, reinforcing their theoretical studies and preparing them for future career paths in the field.
