Biotechnology Graduation Discussion – Fall 2025
The Graduation Discussion Day for Fall 2025 at the Faculty of Biotechnology, October University for Modern Sciences and Arts (MSA), was a distinguished academic event that showcased student excellence, innovation, and scientific achievement.
This semester, a total of 282 students pursued their graduation projects across 30 reputable venues, including new venues such as the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization (Central Laboratories Department), Genome Medical Center, Faculty of Medicine at Kasr Al-Aini, Cairo University, Hoor Apiaries, and the Agricultural Research Center.
We were honored to welcome over 70 distinguished examiners, whose valuable feedback and participation emphasized the high scientific quality of the students’ work.
Students presented a diverse array of graduation projects resulting in 43 tangible products and functional prototypes including a humanoid robot for patient diagnosis, synbiotic chocolate, adulteration detection strips, advanced topical formulations for wound healing, and eco-friendly materials made from recycled plastics.
Additionally, students achieved remarkable success in national scientific and innovation competitions. They secured top rankings on prominent platforms, including the SOLE Competition 2025, the Egyptian Junior Researcher Competition, the Biotechnology Innovation Competitions, and the Smart Industry Hackathon.
Moreover, an outstanding project received 500,000 EGP in national startup funding, while other projects obtained research and innovation grants totaling 20,000 EGP.
Several students have successfully published their research in peer-reviewed scientific journals, including Q1 and Q2 publications such as Frontiers in Microbiology and Applied Sciences, with additional manuscripts currently under review.
We are extremely proud of our students. This day represents not just an ending but the start of meaningful scientific endeavors led by a new generation of biotechnology innovators.
