Algae unit field trip

The Faculty of Biotechnology arranged its third industrial projects field trip visit to the Algae unit at the National Research Center.

The students were divided by schedule, to ensure safety measures. 30 students accompanied by 2 assisting staff members visited the Algae unit at the National Research Center.

The field trip provided the students with a new outlook on microbiology research focusing on microalgae. This opened up new aspects of water treatment that would inspire new ideas for the students’ projects. The focus was on sustainable management friendly, whilst efficiently using natural resources.
