MSA’s Faculty of Arts and Design Welcomes Deputy Minister of Health and Population to Enhance Community Development Collaboration
October University for Modern Sciences and Arts (MSA) had the honor of hosting Prof.Dr. Abla El-Alfy, Deputy Minister of Health and Population for Population and Family Development Affairs and President of the National Population Council, during her visit to the Faculty of Arts and Design. The visit aimed to explore avenues of cooperation in initiatives that align with the ministry’s strategic plan for community development and family empowerment, particularly in underserved areas.
During the visit, Prof. Dr. El-Alfy reviewed the faculty’s extensive efforts in collaboration with governmental bodies, local governorates, and municipalities. The discussions highlighted the faculty’s role in visual identity development for cities and institutions, as well as its contributions to craft industries, product innovation, and sustainable design. Additionally, she recognized the achievements of graduates whose projects addressed key health and population challenges, including initiatives for behavioral change and support for individuals with special needs.
The meeting was graced by the presence of Prof. Dr. Tarek Saleh, Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Design, along with faculty board members and representatives from the Graphic and Media Arts Department. A key outcome of the visit was the agreement to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between MSA University and the Ministry of Health and Population. This collaboration will focus on developing and enhancing various regions, raising awareness on public health and population issues, and expanding joint efforts to include other faculties within the university.
