October on the Egyptian Screen

Fifty years since the anniversary of the victory of our heroes in the October War,,,

 

Coinciding with the golden jubilee celebrations of the glorious October victories, the Faculty of Mass Communication at MSA University concluded today a discussion session entitled “October on the Egyptian Screen”, as part of the college’s celebration of its students’ graduation projects under the title “Fifty Splendid Years”, which aims to shed light on artistic production. And cultural, with the presence and participation of a number of Egyptian and Arab media and art icons.

 

On the sidelines of the symposium, a number of creators and giants of Egyptian novels, drama, and cinema were honored:

 

  • The great poet Abd al-Rahman al-Abnoudi, and his daughter, Aya al-Abnoudi.
  • The great author and screenwriter/ Waheed Hamed, and his son, the distinguished director/ Marwan Hamed.
  • The great film director/ Mohamed Rady, and his daughter, director/ Hanan Rady.

 

The media discussion session was moderated by Reem Wagdy with the following:

 

  • Prof. Dr. Mona Al-Hadidi - Professor of Media and Member of the National Council for Women.
  • Eng. Osama Al-Sheikh - Chairman of the Board of Directors of Cinemedia Academy.
  • The great artist/ Anushka.
  • Director/ Hala Jalal.
  • Artist: Sedqi Sakhr.

 

The project judging committee consisted of:

 

  • Prof. Dr. Mona Al-Hadidi - Professor at the Faculty of Information, Cairo University and member of the Media Committee of the National Council for Women.
  • Prof. Dr. Iman Younis - Dean of the Higher Institute of Cinema.
  • Prof. Dr. Hisham Gamal - Professor at the Higher Institute of Cinema and Acting Vice President of the Academy of Arts.
  • Egyptian director Shukri Abu Amira.
  • Palestinian director Bashar Abu Askar.
