Mass Communication Students Shine with Awards in Media Innovation Competition

Students from the Faculty of Mass Communication have earned 7 awards in the Media Innovation Competition organized by the Media and Digital Transformation Foundation.

 

The competition featured the participation of 496 projects from 98 universities and colleges in Africa and the Arab world.

 

"Graduation Projects" Awards:

 

  • First place in the field of drama: "Beyond the Frame" by Khaled Saleh
  • First place in the field of public relations and advertising: "thrift2green" campaign by Rawan Hamed, Mariam Weam, Mayar Abdelghani, and Nadya Al-Samri.

 

"African Competition" Awards:

 

  • Third place in the documentary and recording category for the project "The White Death" by Ahmed Dawood.
  • Third place in the drama category for the project "You Are a Girl" by Rana Mahmoud.
  • First place in the public relations and advertising category for the "Finding Egypt" campaign by Maya Saleh, Yara Zaki, Mohamed Zahran, and Rina Ahmed.

 

"Arab Competition" Awards:

 

  • Shared first place in the scientific research and thesis category for the research titled "The representation of Egyptian Public Diplomacy in hosting COP27: Comparative analysis between international Arabic-language and English-language online news articles" by TA/ Maryam Osama

 

Additionally, the faculty received the Creativity Award in public relations and advertising projects. This competition is regarded as the largest and most significant in the Arab and African world, with a focus on promoting media talent and fostering constructive competition. The outstanding projects were chosen with the assistance of an international judging panel, and the competition aims to enhance their capabilities through interaction with their peers.
