The awarding of the Master’s degree is contingent upon the successful completion of the following three requirements:
- Research Requirement
Each student must complete a research project aligned with the Faculty and Department research plan as a prerequisite for obtaining the Master’s degree.
Students are eligible to register their thesis project after successful completion of the second semester.
A scientific paper derived from the thesis must be published in a peer-reviewed national/regional/international journal with an impact factor.
The public defense of the thesis may not take place earlier than 12 months following the approval of the Faculty Council for thesis registration.
- Coursework Requirement
Each program comprises a defined set of courses, with a minimum requirement of 80 credit hours over six semesters.
The maximum number of credit hours that a student may register in any Fall or Spring semester is 21 credit hours.
All courses must be successfully completed in order to qualify for the award of the Master’s degree.
The courses are designed in alignment with the selected internal (NARS)/external reference standards (benchmarking) of the program.
- Practical Training and Scientific Activities Requirement
Practical training and scientific activities constitute an integral component of the Master’s degree.
Each Department is responsible for preparing its training program and assigning credit hours to each activity.
A minimum threshold for each activity is established to ensure the achievement of the intended learning outcomes of the various study programs.
Students must document all training activities in a Logbook, which is verified and approved by the Head of Department and the Faculty Administration.
Students will not be permitted to sit for examinations until they have fulfilled the minimum required practical and scientific activities.
