To make the Faculty of Computer Science at MSA the university in Egypt where a student does not wait until graduation to build, ship and compete — where the distance between learning a technology and using it in public is one semester.

To run a continuous, student-led programme of training, projects, competitions and industry contact that complements the curriculum, converts classroom knowledge into evidence of capability, and leaves every member with a portfolio, a network and a record.
Operating Principles
- Open to everyone — no entry test and no prior experience required. The club teaches the entry level itself.
- Student-led, staff-backed — students set and run the programme; a faculty advisor holds continuity and quality.
- Evidence, not attendance — every track ends in something that exists: a repository, a deployed project, a certificate, a competition entry.
- Continuity by design — written constitution, annual elections and documented handover, so the club survives graduation.
Objectives
- Convert four years of coursework into a portfolio, a network and a verifiable record for every member.
- Give every student a structured route into AI, cyber security, software development, cloud, game development and robotics.
- Turn individual competition success into a systematic, year-round competition squad.
- Feed club projects directly into CS405/406 graduation projects with a working prototype already in hand.
- Activate the Faculty’s existing industry partnerships into recurring student contact.
- Support the Faculty BYOD initiative through a credited student technician scheme.
Organisational Structure
Executive Board: President, Vice President, General Secretary, Treasurer and Faculty Advisor. Every role is elected or appointed annually and has a named deputy.

Each chapter delivers one learning track, one build project and one competition entry per semester.
Membership & Leadership Pathway

The Programme — Four Pillars
LEARN — Structured training tracks.
Eight-week tracks per chapter, ninety minutes weekly, run by senior students with staff oversight. Each track ends in a graded mini-project and, where a partner programme exists, a recognised certificate. Cost to the student: nothing.
BUILD — Projects that ship.
A term-long project incubator: pitch (weeks 1–2), team and scope (3–4), build sprints (5–10), ship and showcase at Demo Day (11–12). Every project lives in a public repository from day one.
COMPETE — A standing competition squad.
Year-round training for ICPC/ECPC, CTFs, hackathons, Huawei ICT and the Imagine Cup, with a coach per discipline instead of a team assembled a week before, plus an internal SAGE Cup.
CONNECT — Industry and alumni contact.
Monthly industry nights, per-term alumni sessions, mock technical interviews, CV clinics and site visits, with a mentor roster drawn from graduates already working in the field.

Recorded Faculty competition results the club builds on:
- 1st place — MCIT / Microsoft Egypt national hackathon.
- 4th place — NYUAD Hackathon, Abu Dhabi.
- 15th in Egypt — Huawei ICT Competition, Cloud track, from 8,600 entrants
Previous SAGE activity: Introduction to Python, Oracle 10g mini course, “Let’s get into Git”, “A Linux To Go”, time-management and emotional-intelligence workshops, career-path events, entrepreneurship events and employment fair support.
