Brining gaps in oncology

The Faculty of Biotechnology at October University for Modern Sciences and Arts (MSA University) is proud to have one of its assistant lecturers Gehad Tarek as a guest speaker in the international conference “Brining gaps in oncology” which was organised by National Cancer Institute – Cairo University on the 30th of November and 1st of December.

As a guest speaker, Gehad Tarek has given a lecture under the title of “miRNA signature as a predictor biomarker to TACE treatment response in HCC”. The lecture featured the miRNA as a non-invasive technique to test the response of the cancer patients towards the TACE treatment. Interestingly, it can also be used as a targeted therapy.
