The Faculty of Biotechnology Empowers Students with HPLC Training

To complement the faculty of Biotechnology continuing role in motivating and fostering students’ scientific abilities and practical hands-on experience, the faculty organized a training in collaboration with the Central Lab in Agricultural Research Centre during the last weeks of the summer break.

Eighteen enthusiastic students have joined the training which was focused on the use of High-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) for measuring hormones, vitamins, and other compounds.

This technique is used in analytical chemistry to separate, identify, and quantify each component in a mixture.

Students have set a positive precedent for their peers with such commitment to learning and enhancing their practical skills.

This gained hands-on experience with HPLC will undoubtedly prove invaluable in their future research and studies.

The Faculty of Biotechnology and the Central Lab are to be commended for providing this opportunity to students.

Such opportunities not only enrich the students’ learning experience but also engage them in a culture of research and innovation. The faculty is eager to provide more of such opportunities to the future biotechnologists!
