The first session was led by Dr. Gehan Hammad, Lecturer at the Faculty of Biotechnology, with detailed instructions on how to write an STDF proposal for grant applications.

The second session was led by Dr. Ibrahim Nour Eldin, Director of El hour Honey Apiary, and Vice-president of Al Ahram Journal, who gave an enticing talk on the different products of bee keeping and their therapeutic potential, challenges of bee keeping practices in Egypt and how they can be overcome as well as state-of-the-art methods for collecting bee venom.

The third session was led by Prof. Shaimaa Saeed, Professor of Polymer Chemistry & Material Science, with a talk on green chemistry and how it can be harnessed to meet the sustainable development goals set by the UN.

The last talk was by Prof. Elsayed Zaki, Assisting Professor of Physical Chemistry, who gave the students a tutorial on how to access valuable resources through the Egyptian Knowledge Bank, different citation databases and the process of publishing peer-reviewed articles. Notable to mention, all students who attended Prof. Elsayed's session will receive official certificates issued by Elsevier company.
