The faculty of Biotechnology organized the Diabetes Awareness Day for the second time, coinciding with the Diabetes Awareness Month on the university campus on Saturday, November 13, joined by the nutritionist Dr. Waad Amin, who gave a lecture on insulin resistance and the negative effect of unhealthy lifestyle and diet on the development of the disease and methods of prevention.

Cairo Designathon is Egypt and MENA region's first and only collaborative design marathon, the design marathon teams up random designers together in order to develop a design solution for the represented challenge in four days , our team's challenge was furniture design which is designing a long-lasting multi-purpose high quality bedroom that meets the needs of the user in their different life/growth phases with a task list of 3D Modeling, 3D Renders, Moodboard (pinterest references), Sample Board (colors, materials and finishes), Technical Drawings (basic), Project Name & Logo, Concept Presentation (A 10 minute presentation), Business Model (simple overview of how we will sell & its initial pricing)

Within the framework of the fruitful cooperation between MSA university and Huawei, Huawei ICT competition is launched yesterday at SSB building under the supervision of Students training committee MSA-STC.

Within the framework of the Faculty of Arts and Design’s keenness to cooperate with specialists in various fields related to the faculty, and in cooperation with the Chamber of Wood Products and Furniture Industry, the Interior Design Department hosted the Architect Ahmed Hussein, founder of Ahmed Hussein Designs office and studio.

With great success, the Faculty of languages has launched its initiative The Linguist Lounge today from the Cinema Hall, SSB. The session was delivered by the Canadian professor Ernestine Lahey, who zoomed in from the Netherlands.

The successes of the graduation projects of the students of the Faculty of Mass Communication at MSA University is an ongoing success which brings us to winning the second prize for the project "خطواتك " and the third place in the documentary films category in the movie -الحصن" the Bulwark” directed by the student Islam Soliman at the Sixth Creativity Festival at El-Shorouk Academy.

As a part of its keenness to honor its students and staff members, the Faculty of Art and Design held a special ceremony to honor the winning students from the Graphic and Media Arts Department in the Arab Student StarPack competition for two years, 2020 and 2021.

The department’s students were able to win advanced positions over the two years, as they won five advanced places in the fourth edition of the competition 2020, and in the fifth edition of the competition 2021, they won all the first places in all sections of the competition at the level of Egyptian universities and won all the “Save the food” sector awards as well as winning first place in the Middle East in the “Visual Design Packaging” sector.

With all pride and appreciation, the Faculty of Pharmacy, MSA University is honored to announce that Prof. Dr. Shahira Ezzat, Vice Dean of Faculty of Pharmacy for community service and environmental development and Head of the Pharmacognosy Department, was selected among the top 2% of scientists globally according to the Stanford University ranking.

October University for Modern Sciences and Arts (MSA University) in cooperation with the Ministry of Irrigation and Water Resources through the University’s Center for Scientific Excellence and Entrepreneurship and a startup company from the university’s graduates, worked on designing and manufacturing the first Egyptian system for measuring ground and surface water levels and controlling after implementing a number of tests under the supervision of the Monitoring and Communications Sector of the Ministry Water resources and irrigation.

MSA Team Winning the First Prize & Trophy in the “Sports for Climate” competition held by The British Embassy in  Egypt ,

The British Embassy in Egypt launched the first of its kind Sports for climate competition to raise awareness about the impacts of climate change on health, productivity and the wider economy. 

MSA University would like to announce and congratulate with full pride the Faculty of Arts and Design, and its third year students (Interior Design Department), for the winning of four projects for the design of street and roundabouts furniture in the competition of “Developing the Visual Identity of the Administrative Capital” directed for private and private universities.

MSA University would like to congratulate the students of the Faculty of Engineering from the Mechatronics department who won the second place among all public and private universities by designing a satellite in the Universities Moon Project initiated by the Egyptian Space Agency.

The students were able to design and implement a Space Exploration Rover System after they got trained at MSA University’s satellite at the Egyptian Space Agency. The Space Exploration Rover System consisted of a mobile robot that collects information and images, senses the surrounding environmental factors, navigates them automatically, retains the information and then sends it to the ground control station through a special protocol and controls the robot through the station to perform different tasks from distance.

The Faculty of Biotechnology carries on with the graduation projects discussion day tradition, where a total of 201 students had the chance to present their graduation projects this spring.

MSA University would like to extend its heartiest congratulations for the students of the Journalism department at the Faculty of Mass Communication for successfully discussing their graduation projects. Our students managed to execute two outstanding magazines; the first entitled ‘ABLAZE’, which is a magazine that aims to be a fresh alternative to typical women’s magazines, represents women who are overlooked in mainstream media and be part of the changing narrative of the feminism in Egypt. This project mainly serves the fifth goal of SDGs which focuses on achieving gender equality and empowering all women and girls.

The Faculty of Mass Communication congratulates Advertising and Public Relations students for their Graduation Projects that tackled some of the most important issues in the Egyptian society. Significant topics that discussed cultural, psychological, environmental as well as economic matters are discussed this week at MSA Campus. MCOM students have suggested enlightened solutions and recommendations to contribute to their communities and country.

The topics also serve the agenda for Sustainable Development for peace and prosperity for people and the environment. The projects address more than 7 out of the 17 Goals of Sustainable Development that call for action to responsible consumption and well being and to end exclusion and poverty. The students have impressively recognized these problems and created campaigns strategies to raise awareness and change behavior towards improving health and education, reduce inequality, and spur economic growth.
