First Field Trip for Biotechnology Students

On Wednesday, February 27, the students had an educational field trip to visit one of the largest Egyptian food-producing companies, EGC. There, they had the exciting opportunity to observe the steps to the live production of V-cut chips, DAMAS chocolates and Nobi biscuits, acquiring feedback on the problems facing these factories which could then be solved by biotechnological means.

The Faculty of Biotechnology got offers from Academic Institutes, Research Laboratories and Private Factories to accept a number of biotechnology students for summer training.

Five different programmes have offered to cover Medical Biotechnology, Industrial Biotechnology and Agricultural Biotechnology. Students will receive certificates after finishing their training by the host place.

The faculty is encouraging the students to participate in one or two during the summer.
