Faculty of Biotechnology Field trip to Dohler Factory

The industrial projects students were given a unique experience. Where the Chairman and CEO of Delta Aromatics Mr. Omar Abdelreheem and Mr. Joachuin Lanz provided a lecture on the world of aromatics including perfumery, flavoring, food coloring and essential oils in general.

The lecture was then supplemented with a field trip to Dohler Factory where the students received a tour into the extraction of essential oils from oranges and tomatoes. The day was well received and there was immense positive feedback from the 165 students who attended the lecture and the field visit.
