Once again, our Mass Communications graduation projects were judged by our affiliates and good friends from JWT Advertising, Yassmin Nader (Creative Director), Rami El Kerdani (Senior Art Director), Diana George (Account Manager), Kareem Farid (Planning Analyst), Lauren Wahed (Senior Social Media Editor), Hanan El Bialy (Talent Management). The judges were blown away by the presentations and stated that “JWT were very impressed with two of the MSA projects, the disability and handicrafts projects. We will be affiliated with these two awareness campaigns as part of our CSR initiative.”
Due to the attention the students created, firstly by impressing JWT so strongly and also by appearing on several radio and TV channels to discuss their projects, Tarek Nour Advertising agency requested to attend a repeat of the presentations to which our students were delighted to show off in front of them. The students from Faculty of Mass Communications flexed their muscles to TNA when MSA hosted representatives from the esteemed advertising gurus of Egypt to evaluate their graduation projects. The students prepared astounding presentations for advertising campaigns they had prepared for a number of non-profit organizations such as “STOP Animal Abuse”, “Disability Sports Awareness”, “Ketabak” and several others.
In a word with the judging panel after the presentations, they stressed that what impressed them most was the strategic planning of the campaigns, “the campaigns were professionally planned and the students have studied the long-term implications of their projects and how to sustain them for more than a year to come, while preserving the core of their targeted message and audience” said Mr Basel the Creative Manager of TNA. While Mr Ahmed, an Account Manager at TNA stated “while the majority of the campaigns were extremely creative and well implemented, what impressed the most was their strategic visions and plans”.
The judges also commended the students on their creativity, presentation, execution and flawless command of English. For example, the “STOP Animal Abuse” TV ads were extremely chilling and gave the audience goose bumps as they watched humans depicting animals being mistreated by their owners, while the campaign for ADHD Awareness (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder) was presented by students dressed as characters that an ADHD child might see in his head, such as a Hogwarts student, a clown or even Superwoman.
All in all, the JWT and TNA representatives were extremely impressed with what they saw and admitted that several students stimulated their interest in acquiring them for their respective agencies. Congratulations graduating students and we wish you the utmost success.
Very hearty congratulations to the staff of Faculty of Mass Communications for helping the students achieve their potential over the years, carefully honing their skills in preparation for their professional lives, along with a special thank you to Dr. Sherin Moody who advised and supervised the students' projects.
