ESE Department visit to national authority for remote sensing and space (NARSS)

In collaboration between the Electrical Systems Engineering (ESE) Department and NARSS, a team of 4 ESE staff members paid a visit to the NARSS’s Space City in New Cairo on Thursday 10 November, 2016.

The team was led by Dr. Samy El-Hennawey, Head of ESE Department and composed of Dr. Said Mabrouk, Dr. Somaia Mohamed and Dr. Ahmed Shaker. The team reviewed NARSS’s remarkable laboratory resources and equipment facilities. At the end of the visit, a meeting was held between MSA team and some officials from NARSS and the following was agreed upon: 1. There will be a “Protocol of Cooperation” between MSA and NARSS for executing several joint projects for Research and Development.
2. All lab and equipment facilities will be available for MSA graduate students through the Master’s program being underway for approval.
3. NARSS will deliver two talks during the First Annual Workshop to be offered by MSA on Saturday 17 December 2016. During this day, official signing of the Protocol of Cooperation will take place.
4. Establishing specific joint research and development projects. The team was very happy with the visit and with the spirit and strong dedication of NARSS personnel.
