Spectacular ESE Engineering
Last week witnessed the ESE Grad presentations to the Egyptian Jury, where students presented their work across the research and implementation. The various judging juries found the projects “world-class”. The projects were very well presented and tackled central issues. They can be implemented in real-life applications in Egypt’s current and future settings, in both industrial and commercial fields. In most projects, students didn't only focus on the technical aspects, but also went to great measures to ensure that their applications were consumer-friendly with attention to providing attractive user interface.
Many also included collecting technical and user information that would be provided to other teams, such as the marketing department, that would assist them in certain researches.
The projects tackled topics such as an Object Tracking System Using Quad Copter, a FPGA-Based Real Time Hand Gesture Recognition and Marker Tracking for Augmented Reality Applications, a Remotely Operated Vehicle, the Design and implementation of an automated door accessing system using Face Recognition and Finger Print and A Special Purpose Moving Device for Location-Based Information Transfer for Moving Clients for Cairo Zoo, to name a few.
One of the esteemed jury members commented on how the level of the students’ work was outstanding and ready to present on an international level, he also added that this wouldn’t be possible without extensive student support services and a high-caliber teaching staff
