By working collaboratively in practice and by discussing the different strategies for handling the challenges of the development of “El DARB EL AHMAR”, we hope to reach new insights and to enrich the experiences of all participants. We may define the workshop goal as an attempt at studying the urban complexity of the chosen area in order to develop and maintain the historical value and heritage life of “El-Darb El-Ahmar & El-Hattaba” including the improvement of people’s quality of life.

A group of students and Teaching staff, architecture department have been participated in International workshop DDW2014 (The ; where the architects teams have been investigated the city’s valley as an urban ecosystem, highlighting cultural and natural characteristics at the East side of Serres city in Greece.
Students of the Architecture Systems Engineering (ASE) participated and submitted Grad 1 and Grad 2 projects in the 2014 Graduation Projects. The projects contained a wide range of innovative ideas in different areas in Architectural designing and developing.
